THIS IS A GAY BAR

JR: Here I've had some problems because a gay guy tried to pick up a straight guy. You know, I don't mind straight business, but like I said, you know, you know what this is? I used to have a big sign over there on the wall, “This is a gay bar if you don't like the clientele please leave.” It used to be right where that flag is and where the wall is. Used to be a big sign there.

Cause we had a lot of people that used to come in and they were gay, closeted, and they didn't want, you know, anyone to know. One time we was doing karaoke and a guy come in and he's having fun all the sudden he said, "It's a goddamned” excuse my language “fagot bar." And I was running the karaoke at the time and I said, “then what are you doing here? Why don't you just leave?” So, he gave a lot of lip then he left.

Probably three weeks later he started to come in the door and I was running the karaoke and I said, "Where, you think you're going, buddy?" He said, "gonna come have a drink." I said, “Not here, you're not.” I said, “This is a gay bar, remember. You're not comfortable in here, so I don't want you in here.” And he said “Awe I didn't mean that, I didn't mean that.” I said, “hit the door - I don't want to be bothered with you.” So he got up and a couple guys here just showed him to the door, and he didn’t come back in.
